Dining in the desert. That’s right, this is the view from my dinner table during my one night in Dubai. No, it isn’t a diorama- I honestly took this picture with my iPhone. Normally, I wouldn’t be proud of eating my one meal in a new country in a mall, but I’ll make an exception for the Mall of the Emirates featuring an indoor ski slope. The food was just OK, but drinking in an Islamic Emirate overlooking snowboarders and skiers was more than worth it.
